On these pages Megan is describing colored in squares as owe and uncolored as "have". After this, she adds and subtracts single digit numbers. She also adds double and triple digit numbers with no tens or ones, like 40 + 40 and 300 + 500. Then, she solves some problems for variables (single digit adding).

Megan is doing a combination of many math curriculums, Miquon, Math-u-see and now Singapore. I am trying to figure out the best fit for my daughter. I thought the second book of Math-u-see was getting too easy, but I realize that leaving it behind is a mistake as it reinforces through repetition, which is something Megan seems to need. Anyway, on this page of Singapore, Megan is learning to add double digit numbers without any carrying or borrowing. Problems like 34 +3, 45-23, etc.
Megan did a row of adding single digits and subtracting numbers, like 12-8 and 11-7. Megan was then given clues and had to fill in the missing word, like It begins like rip and rhymes with cake, in other words, rake.
On this page, Megan just answers addition and subtraction problems. Some of them are adding three numbers together whereas some are just adding or subtracting two numbers from one another.
On this page, Megan is introduced to skip counting as a pre-curser to basic multiplication of singe digits. She does problems like 1, 1+1, 1+1+1 and 3, 3+3 , 3+3+3, 3+3+3+3 . This is helping her see the value of knowing how to skip count by 2,3, 4, 5's, etc.
Megan is adding 0-2 to a number as well as doing some 10s value addition (with no units). The next page she is writing the number of hundreds , tens and ones and then saying the number. Then, she does a few word problems adding 0-2 to a number. Its very slow but I supplement with other math.
On page E-20 Megan gets some experience with the meaning of number lines. If the arrow points to the right , she learned it is like adding the amount and if it points to the left, its like subtracting the amount. Such as 7-----3------> is like 7 + 3. And _ <-----3--------7 is subtraction where the answer _ is 4.
This chapter talks about Fred going to the pet shelter and trying to save the dogs. He finds he does not have enough money, that is $10 for each of 30 dogs .
So he does a bit of introducing multiplication. He shows that 30 tens is the same as ten 30s. He does this by showing 10 rows of thirty dots. Then he discusses how you will later write thirty tens as 30 times 10.and that 30 times 10 = 10 times 30.then he says fill in the blank 5+7 = 7+5 is an example of the ___________ law of addition.
2.) is subtraction commutative ?i showed Megan this with a subtraction problem show as 5-3= 3-5. No
3.) is putting on your shoes and socks commutative. No
In this chapter, Fred discusses how many addition problems there are per answer, like for 11, you only had to learn four facts. Nobody has to learn 10+ 1= 11. He did this for a few numbers until he got to seventeen. Seventeen only has one , 8+9 = 17. He discussed that he picked books out by opening a dictionary and picking a topic at random .
We had to find what is wrong with the picture shown. Megan did it mostly. Then Megan had to guess what number doubled gives 14 and next 16. Then she had to solve 17-8. Then she had to guess the rule for the function , January to March, 13-15, Thursday- Saturday, etc.
On page 92, Megan added 2 to various numbers and added 20+50 and 200+200.
On page 93, mega had to count and color the squares of the addition problems, write the equation and dry a line to the matching answer on the right side of the page.
