We went to Arkansas on our drive home from Alabama.  This was neat as Megan has not been since she was a baby.  We first looked at the hot spring coming out the ground.   Then , we walked to the visitor center.  along the way, we saw some notable water fountains .  There was one with blue green algae . It was hot water fountain and photographers love it in the early morning, as the steam would condense. This was neat to megan as the algae would not break off.  The Noble Fountain was a symbol of america with an eagle, a ball, and a emblem of the United States. Anyway megan was able to see some fountains.   Then , we walked a really pretty trail Hot Springs Mountain Trail.

In the junior ranger book, megan learned both the source of the water and how it was heated .  She did an activity where she labeled the steps in the life cycle of the water at Hot Springs. She also studied the different bath houses. She was given features of various bath houses and using pictures on the internet, she identified the various houses.  She also identified the stained glass that has a violin and is in the assembly room.
