Wangs trip to Utah: Olympic Park Photos

September 1st, 2008- Utah Olympic Park. After the driving down from the snow capped Mirror Lake Scenic Byway and having lunch in the condo, we wandered to the nearby Olympic Park. The park is composed of the venues for Ski Jumps, and Ice Tracks for Luge/Bobsled/Skeleton for the 2002 Winter Olympic Games. It now serves as one of the training facilities for olympic hopefuls. What is really nice (beyond the free admission) is the freedom to wander all over the facility unescorted and you get to see the jumps and tracks up close and personal. The views from the top are also quite nice. In addition there are two museums on site, one which is the ski museum, and the other is devoted to the 2002 Winter Games, while small, both of which were surprisingly more interesting than you might initially think. Although they weren't open when we there, there are also a variety of thrill rides at the park. (Zip lines, Alpline slides and a bobsleigh ride)
