Wangs trip to Utah: Mirror Lake Scenic Byway Photos

September 1st, 2008- Mirror Lake Byway, Utah. We took a day of rest on Sunday following the excursion to Salt Lake City it was forecasted to rain so we didn't go to the Golden Spike National Historical Site. On Monday we headed to the Uintas Mountain Range east of Park City for a proposed hike to the Top of Bald Mountains hoping it wasn't too wet. As it turns out, it started raining at about 8000 feet, and by 8500 feet elevation it wasn't wet, it was white, and we weren't prepared for a winter hike. It wasn't a total wash, Megan did get her first experience playing in snow and we did get to see the Slate Gorge before the snow started. Also as a result of scratching the hike and picnic, we were able to visit Olympic Park that afternoon.
