Summer Bridge Activities Pages 11-12

Megan looked at the coins and added up the count.   She read a set of words and listened for the short vowel and wrote it down. She also wrote the letter the word begins with.  Then there were several rows of words and at the beginning of each row was a word and Megan had to select the words from that row that rhymes with the first word. I asked her how you know it rhymes and she said based on the words having the same ending.  Then, following directions, Megan drew a picture of a girl sitting on a rock and a bird up in a tree and flower. She even built a nest for the bird. She titled it bird in a nest . She put an egg in the nest.
