This week and future weeks, we will be doing some science projects related to the weather. Today, we learned the term atmosphere, troposphere.  We also learned how the atmosphere from first formed. The earth was very hot and, as it cooled, it gave off gases (called degassing) and then it began to rain. It rained for like thousands of years and then, the residual water in the air (water vapor) formed the clouds we see today .We are reading about hurricanes and learned air pressure systems what cause hurricanes and the terms, eye of the storm and storm surge.  We read about the  hurricane of 1938, in which they did not have modern technology to help predict where the storms are going to land. They thought this storm was going back out to see, but it didn't and it long island sound and killed lots of people and took down houses, boats, trains, anything in its path. And then later it pushed these things against the land.
