Megan's morning story

So, there was a turtle who lived in a pond. The pond is quickly drying up. The turtle will have to move from the pond, but there was a person who wants to sell them at a pet store. So, they can not leave the water. Also there is a dog and a cat that keep watch at night, so escape at this time is impossible.  If the cat or the dog sees them, they come barking or scratching at the door. So they must sneak a way through the bushes. They did this in the early dawn, because this was when no one was watching as this is when the cats and dogs got their sleep. They also slept some in the daytime too.  But the dog would wake instantly to any suspicious sounds, even we can't hear.  Also, the dog has a fine tuned sense of smell and can detect the smell of turtle.
