heart beats/Magic Touch

| No Comments | No TrackBacks
This was a neat meetup. First we read a book on the heat. It was a book with little animated characters that flow through the heart and act out the components of the blood and what happens as it flows along through the arteries to the body, back through the veins and to the lungs to pick up more oxygen. Then, we sang a rap song about the heart. I should put in here the article from my Science and Children.  Then, we did this using drums so the kids could kinda hear the beat of their hearts through music. Then, we colored, using berries, the red and blue parts of the heart, with red being oxygenated and blue being deoxygenated.    The children also reached into touch boxes to try to see what was in it and what was in it varied by texture, from scratchy to smooth to sticky, etc.
