Heart and blood flow

What was supposed to be a lesson on the respiratory system, turned out to be a heart study. We read "Hear your Heart" and this helped us to draw a heart and label the veins and arteries and the direction of blood flow. We also learned the names of the valves and that arteries move blood away from the heart and veins move it toward the heart.  We then discussed the blood flow throughout the body and Megan asked where do the arteries and the veins meetup to exchange blood.
