Civil Ceremony Photos |
On February 14, 2002, Winston and I became officially married at the Howard County Courthouse. The ceremony was performed by the Clerk of the Circuit Court, Margaret D. Rappaport. It was a small and short ceremony, but was very beautiful as many friends and family were able to attend. A funny story regarding this day was the trouble that the bride and groom had in finding the correct courthouse. Julie, along with Nancy Brubaker and Fred and Mary Ann Kunig, when they first arrived were really close as they arrived first at the Ellicott City Courthouse, which was just one building over from the Howard County Courthouse. It took us a few minutes to get orientated, but we were still 20 minutes Early. Winston, however, was called shortly after 1:00 p.m. (ceremony was at 1:30 p.m.) and we asked him for help getting from the Ellicott City Courthouse to the Howard County Courthouse. Winston was still at his grandparents and didn't have a clue how to help us. Later on, as we were waiting in the Howard County Courthouse for Winston and 1:30 was fast approaching, Winston wasn't anywhere to be found. At about 1:40, Winston shows up with the rest of the family. Apparently they had stopped two wrong courthouses along the way before they found the Howard County Courthouse. This made Julie a bit nervous, to say the least. In the end, everything worked out fine

Pre-Ceremony Photos |
A lot of preparations had to go into getting the Wyndham Baltimore Inner Harbor ready to celebrate the marriage of Winston and Julie. These photos are a behind the scenes view of what went on. Preparations for this day started very early, 4:30 a.m., and as you can see many family members joined in to help get the ceremony and receptions rooms ready for the big day. Winston and Julie want to thank everyone for the time and effort put in to getting the decorations done. It was very much worth it as the whole area where the wedding was held looked beautiful. It was a sight to see that day.
Ceremony Photos |
Our Wedding Ceremony was on February 16, 2002. Since February 14, 2002 was on a Thursday, making it inconvenient for a lot of people to come, we decided to have our Wedding Ceremony and Reception on Saturday, the 16th. The ceremony went well and it seemed as though everyone had a great time. The photos here were taken by Michele Katen. She did a great job. Thanks Michele. If anyone else has photos to share of any part of Marriage and Wedding Celebration, we would enjoy seeing them and would be able to scan them and put them here as well. People with digital photos, can contact Julie and she can provide you with information to upload them to Winston's server.
Reception Photos |
We hope everyone had fun both at the ceremony and the reception. We very much enjoyed spending time with our family and friends. Having you all there throughout these important days meant a lot to us. The photos here are a combination of photos taken by Roger and Michele Katen and the ones developed from the disposable cameras. It was a treat to see the ones from the disposable cameras as we were able to see a lot of what went on at the reception through the eyes of our family and friends. At the moment, the ones here from the disposable cameras have some dust on them as they weren't scanned in properly, but we wanted to get them up on the web for you to see. We are having them rescanned and will replace them with cleaner versions as soon as we get them back.
Reception Slide Show |
At our reception, we had our Apple iMac playing MP3's (we own
the CD's to all the songs played) and giving a slide show of photo
of us, friends and family over the years. We've taken those photos,
and along with our first and last song and made a Quicktime movie
slide show for you. Currently we only have the high quality version
which is really large (12.3 MB). So unless you have a faster internet
connection, or lots of time (almost an hour for a 56K modem) don't
click this link.
The songs are "Beautiful in My Eyes" by Joshua Kadison,
and "Now and Forever" by Richard Marx. (That page is
hosted on Apple's iTools server)

These are the photos we've selected for our Offical Wedding Album from our professional wedding photographer. George Draper of Photo Sentry Systems. The highlights of the wedding and reception are captured here as well as some family portraits. We are in the process of scanning in the proofs of all of the photos taken by Geroge. (There are over 200! so it's going to take some time for us to scan them all in.) Meanwile we've posted as many as we scanned.
