Great Megan Wang Tour 2007
 
 
We got home just after midnight. And we were glad we went, we had a great time, spent lots of time with many people, saw a variety of interesting things and at the same time glad to be home. Hunter missed us terribly, and Basil and Joules were just ambivalent. Here are some final thoughts: By the Numbers: 11 States Visited (Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Tennessee, Arkansas) <img src="http://www.world66.com/myworld66/visitedStates/statemap?visited=ALARGALAMDMSNCSCTNTXVA"> (You can create your own personalized map of the USA.) 6 State houses seen (from the outside) (Baton Rouge, Jackson, Atlanta, Richmond, Nashville, Little Rock) 3 National Parks and 1 National Parkway (Shenandoah, Blue Ridge, Great Smoky Mountains, Hot Springs) 1 Ocean (Atlantic) 3774 Miles driven (~74 gallons of gas) = 51 mpg ~85 hours on the road 4 Hotels stays (La Quinta, Springhill Suites and 2 Hampton inns) 30 Family Members seen (16 Maternal Side, 14 Paternal Side) 4 Notable Megan developments (discovering toes, extensive drooling, audible baby coos, proto-waves) 3 other babies seen (Anika, Jacqueline, Irene) 1200+ Photos taken (half of which involved Megan) 13 Group Pictures Fuel Efficiency of the Prius : rough approximations here but 75 mph gives about 45 mpg, 65 mph give about 50 mpg, 55 mph give 55 mpg. (there numbers are with A/C on) Also we appreciated being able to stop at rest areas with the car and A/C on, but the engine off until the battery ran low.
