Great Megan Wang Tour 2007

In the morning, a sumptuous breakfast was prepared and consumed at Joe and Kat’s house, we managed to get on the road at 11:22 AM EDT, and then we stopped just before the tunnel-bridge connecting Norfolk to Hampton. Here Megan got her first glimpse of the Atlantic Ocean.

We found it hardest to get a good picture of the state house in Richmond, VA, it seems to be buried among other buildings.

4 PM at a rest area just south of Washington D.C. - If you thought we had long drives in our trip, a guy with at least a couple of kids asked me, how far it was from the rest area to New York City, and that they'd been driving from Myrtle Beach, SC that morning.  He was understandably dismayed when I estimated it at 5-6 hours + traffic.

We made a stop in Falls Church, VA, and then made it to Ellicott City, MD around 8 PM after 257 miles.
