Welcome to Zoomify HTML5 and Zoomify HTML5 Developer! Please be sure to read the 'READ ME FIRST.TXT' files that are included in the Converter, ViewerSource (Developer version) and other subfolders of this product. These files provide the latest, most detailed information available to help you quickly become proficient with your new product. In addition, the User's Guide, Parameter List, and Function List (Developer version) along with the many example web pages provide everything you need to know for immediate use of Zoomify's HTML5 products. Please be aware that the many example web page '.htm' files in this product presume a specific folder structure. Specifically, they depend on files in the 'Assets' folder such as the image files that make up the Skin for the toolbar, the image file that is used as a watermark example, etc. If htm files or the files they depend on are moved or the folders are renamed or rearranged, the example htm files will have incorrect paths and they will not work properly. Those paths will need to be edited for the example htm files to work again. This is quite simple and is discussed User's Guide documentation. Release notes: 1. For customers accustomed to working with our Flash-based viewers, please remember that delivering the same features and performance in HTML5 is challenging. The number of operating systems, browsers, and browser versions involved is large, and the inconsistencies in their implementations are significant. We appreciate your support and patience as we optimize and enhance our products. 2. As always we are eager to find and quickly address any bugs in the product. Please notify us at support@zoomify.com of any problems you encounter. Please include your contact information, a description of the problem, steps to reproduce it, and information about the context in which you are seeing it (operating system and version, browser and version, Zoomify product and version). We need your help to better help you and we appreciate your support. 3. An alert may be seen when running the example web pages in this product locally, especially when using Internet Explorer. This alert will not occur when running the web page from a web server. Please note that the alert is simply reminding you of the possible concerns arising from running web pages that include JavaScript content on your local machine. The JavaScript in the example web pages in this product do not attempt any access to your local disk other than that required to load the JPEG image files and XML text data that allow the Zoomify Image Viewer to display your zoomable images. The only exception to this is the cookie written upon acceptance of the copyright agreement in the 'Copyright On' web page example. This cookie is used only to ensure the copyright message appears only once per browser session, rather than appearing repeatedly with every image viewed. 4. Example web pages in this product include only the simplest HTML header content: Your web site and preferences may require something more complete such as:
