At the end of our senior year at Hopkins, the 3TCrew decided to take a road trip to celebrate our accomplishments. We choose New Orleans, LA followed by Atlanta, GA. So after our last final, we set out in 2 cars and the six of us, (Brendan, Jeff, Shari, Van, Winston, and Zoe) driving in shifts made it into the Big Easy in about 12 hours. We walked around the French Quarter and enjoyed the local attractions. Bourbon Street, Jackson Square, St. Louis Cathedral, Ursuline Convent and Church, Le Carpentier-Beauregard House, Restoration Hall (for Jazz), and a few shopping centers. We also visited the above ground St. Louis Cemetery. Seeing the Voodoo queen's tomb covered with X's was particularly memorable. On a suggestion by Zoe we visited the Oak Alley Plantation, which served as the mansion in the movie An Interview with the Vampire. And features a quarter mile walkway from the front door to the Mississippi shore lined with oak trees. We watched the end of a fencing tournement at Oak Alley. From there we made a brief excursion to Baton Rouge. (Had dinner at Lone Star Steakhouse. ) From New Orleans we drove to Atlanta, where we visited the local sites: Underground Atlanta, World of Coca-Cola, the Botanical Garden. And we admired the pre-olympic preparations. Jeff and Zoe went to one of Zoe's friends wedding. To view the photo's from this trip you have several options:
