On these pages Megan is describing colored in squares as owe and uncolored as "have". After this, she adds and subtracts single digit numbers. She also adds double and triple digit numbers with no tens or ones, like 40 + 40 and 300 + 500. Then, she solves some problems for variables (single digit adding).

Megan is doing a combination of many math curriculums, Miquon, Math-u-see and now Singapore. I am trying to figure out the best fit for my daughter. I thought the second book of Math-u-see was getting too easy, but I realize that leaving it behind is a mistake as it reinforces through repetition, which is something Megan seems to need. Anyway, on this page of Singapore, Megan is learning to add double digit numbers without any carrying or borrowing. Problems like 34 +3, 45-23, etc.
Megan did a row of adding single digits and subtracting numbers, like 12-8 and 11-7. Megan was then given clues and had to fill in the missing word, like It begins like rip and rhymes with cake, in other words, rake.
On this page, Megan just answers addition and subtraction problems. Some of them are adding three numbers together whereas some are just adding or subtracting two numbers from one another.
On this page, Megan is introduced to skip counting as a pre-curser to basic multiplication of singe digits. She does problems like 1, 1+1, 1+1+1 and 3, 3+3 , 3+3+3, 3+3+3+3 . This is helping her see the value of knowing how to skip count by 2,3, 4, 5's, etc.
On page E-20 Megan gets some experience with the meaning of number lines. If the arrow points to the right , she learned it is like adding the amount and if it points to the left, its like subtracting the amount. Such as 7-----3------> is like 7 + 3. And _ <-----3--------7 is subtraction where the answer _ is 4.
Megan was do fact familia math. She did 2,3,5 and 2,7,9 and 3,5,8.
On page 9, Megan had to tell how many raccoons babies were girls knowing the number of boys.
On page 9, she had to count by tens to find out how many ears of corn the raccoons ate in 4 nights, if they ate 10 a night.
On page 10, Megan had to count the light rings on a raccoon's tail, add it to the dark rings and find out how many rings total, 7 + 8 or 15 rings in total.
On page 10, She had to add the total raccoons, two were by the stream and three joined them.
On page 11, Megan had to look at a graph of fish and count the total number of fish the raccoon caught Monday- Thursday and on which day he caught the most.
