Life of Fred Dogs Chapter 17 "on a leash"

| No Comments | No TrackBacks
In this chapter, Alexander and Betty each took 15 dogs home from the shelter.  Fred went and met them there, after he realized they adopted the dogs.  The author then added up all the people and dogs leaving the shelter, 15 + 15 +2 +1 = 33  He talked about how Fred did not know how to car for a dog and that dogs are much more sociable than cats as the dog he was given to walk pulled him towards the other 30-1 = 29 dogs.  Fred was given the dog to keep. Kingie asked to himself lots of things about Fred and whether or not he knew how to take care of dogs.

In Megan's turn to play , she had to

1) Name the largest cardinal number less than 10? 9
2) what is the smallest ordinal number?  first
3) How many dogs does Betty have right now? 14
4) What is the total number of dogs that Alexander and Betty have right now? 29 ( she at first said she had thirty and lost one so she had 29 and then I showed her how to show this with numbers).
5) What number doubled gives you 18? 9
