Megan and I did first language lessons. Yesterday we did lesson 26. We reviewed the caterpillar and "work" poem . In this lesson , we talked about the complete names her
cousins. Then , I wrote two of their complete names on the dry erase board and she copied them in her notebook.
Today, megan and I read two fairytales, Rapunzel and Sleeping Beauty. Rapunzel was written by Paul O. Zelinsky and Sleeping beauty was written by Jane Yolen .We then wrote up the beginning, middle and the end for rapunzel. Then we read sleeping beauty and did a venn diagram comparing the two stories as they had some similiarities. Finally, megan took strips with the story parts for sleeping beauty and is pasting them in the right order. I have to do this for rapunzel for her.
On page 52,Megan had to alphabatize words such as big, little , slow , go, stop, out, up. On page 53, Megan had to circle the greater number of sets of two. on page 54, Megan had to read sentences and circle the best title. She had to underline the object being personified and say how in which way it was copying a living creature. In all the cases the way was by an action, like hugging, coughing, etc.
Megan on page 31, is thinking about a few things. They ask her to name things based on a characteristic, such as Name one thing that is black, name 1 thing that can be a mess. And she answers it. A bat can be black, and dirt can be messy. On page, 32, Megan had to write various things that started with the letter B. For instance, A bird, a name, a vegetable, a sport, etc. On page 33, she had to draw lines across things that are opposite words, like big- small, run - sit, etc. Then, she had to write a sentence with one of the words.
