All about manners-please and thank you

| No Comments | No TrackBacks
Yesterday,we did a lesson in our character development phase. It was on manners and politeness.  We had the kids stay downstairs , while Leslie and I discussed and prepared upstairs.  We discussed the books, decided to have them practice  acting out situations, like how to properly answer a phone or door. The kids were really responsive to setting the table.  We had a large bulletin with a drawing of how to set up your plate, spoon, fork, napkin, knife and cup and so the kids could follow it. They did this and then a few kids went downstairs came back up and we acted out how to properly greet them.  Then, we were able to really greet some new members.

Learning how to sew

Today, I walked Megan through threading the bobbin, loading the bobbing, threading the needle , all of which she actively participated in.  Then, her and I sewed a strip of cloth to be used in a game we are having on Predator and Prey.
