Megan took a science quiz about marshlands and swamps, watched a video on it and answered more questions related to this. Then, she did a section on language arts, learning about "less" like powerless, homeless, clueless, hopeless, shapeless, speechless.

Megan worked on Kahn Academy. She did some problems on Perimeter, She added with carrying numbers in the hundreds place, and she did some fraction work.
Megan is almost finished with book 2.5. I forget to write the entries in once in a while but its dated in the book. On page 89, She had to read three words given , along with a picture, and pick the word with a blend that best fits the picture. for example, a girl mixing something in a bowl, and three choices, bland, blend, and brand. The answer was correctly chosen as being blend. On page 90, She has two works and she has to select the word associated with the picture, for example a skunk is shown and she has to pick either stink or slink. She did fine at this. On page 91, She has to spell words. She is given three rectangles with letters choices in them and she has to circle the letter(or letters) in each rectangle that when done together spell the word.
Megan went to Music and More's art class this passed Tuesday. Megan drew a dinosaur on watercolor paper using oil pastels and then she did a watercolor wash on top of it. She did a good job on the dinosaur.
Megan went to an HMNS class where she learned about the social structure of ancient Japan. I will upload a picture when I find it. She did a map of Japan and labeled the countries. Then, she learned about the knives and later about a very expensive knife that needs to be flexible but hard at the tip. This is hard to make and so a sword like this is very expensive. It was called "The Katana".
Megan was read the second story in this book and the story was about Oklahoma. Some of the historic facts she learned was that Oklahoma became the 46th state added to the Union, that there are 50 states total, she learned that the state is nicknamed "the sooner state" and why this is true. That when the government had a land run (late 1800s), some of the people arrived early to claim the land before the designated time. Also, that there are lots of Indians in the state, 350,000 (10% of the population).
